Cancellation Policy
RESERVATION CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Any Guest-initiated change of reserved dates subsequent to execution of this Guest Reservation Application & Rental Agreement and issuance of the Confirmation is subject to prior written approval by HAWAII BOUND and will incur a $200.00 administrative change fee.
Guest-initiated cancellation at any time after execution of this Guest Reservation Application & Rental Agreement and issuance of the Confirmation will result in the loss to Guest of all deposits and payments here-under.
A refund will be issued only if the time period booked is re-rented at an equivalent rate and length of stay. If only a portion of the time period booked is re-rented or the booking is re-rented at a lower rate, a pro-rata refund will be made.
All Guest-initiated cancellations, including pro-rata refunds on re-bookings, are subject to a service fee of 15% of the total rental charges.
No refunds will be made for late check-ins, early checkouts, and no-shows or for booked but unused services.
A refund will also be made if the Property rented becomes unfit for habitation during the period of time booked and, in HAWAII BOUNDʻs opinion, no equivalent substitute can be found.
GUEST UNDERSTANDS THAT A GUEST-INITIATED CANCELLATION LESS THAN 45 DAYS PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL DATE WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT LOSSES TO HAWAII BOUND AND PROPERTY OWNERS AS IT IS UNLIKELY THAT HAWAII BOUND WILL BE ABLE TO RE-BOOK THE PROPERTY AT THE CONTRACTED FOR RENTAL RATE AND LENGTH OF STAY AND, AS A RESULT, GUEST UNDERSTANDS THAT A REFUND OF ANY MONIES PAID IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCE.
HAWAII BOUND STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT GUEST PURCHASE TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE TO HELP PROTECT AGAINST FINANCIAL LOSSES IF CANCELLATION IS NECESSITATED BY CERTAIN KINDS OF UNFORESEEN EVENTS, SUCH AS ILLNESS.
